Iran will produce one ton of caviar this Iranian year (started March 21), said managing director of Propagation, Breeding and Exports of Aquatics Union Arsalan Ghasemi, adding that a kilogram of first-class caviar currently costs more than $6,600. “High demand and low supply are the main reasons behind the rise in the prices of this delicacy,” he was quoted by Mehr News Agency as saying.
