Poultry and livestock production has exceeded domestic demand and it is high time the sector considered increasing exports, said the director general of Livestock Department at the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad. About 150,000 tons of chicken and eggs were exported in the first four months of the current Iranian year (started March 21), however this can substantially increase with regards to the booming domestic production, ISNA quoted Touraj Saremi as saying.
