More than 28,000 tons of goods worth $25 million were exported from the city of Abadan, located in Khuzestan Province, to Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates in the first four months of the current Iranian year (started March 21), indicating a 36% decrease in terms of volume and 7% increase in terms of value compared to the similar period last year, says managing director of Abadan Customs Administration, Hamid Ahmadi. According to the official, the main exports included petrochemicals, livestock, fish, fruit and vegetable. Moreover, about 11,000 tons of goods worth more than $33 million were imported to Abadan during the four-month period, indicating an 8% decrease in weight and 4% decrease in value, IRNA reported.
