New Chief at CAO

In a meeting presided by President Hassan Rouhani on Sunday, the cabinet appointed Ali Abedzadeh, former chairman of Iran Aseman Airlines, as the new chief of Iran Civil Aviation Organization. The position was previously held by Alireza Jahangirian who unexpectedly resigned in July after 18 months of being on the job. Soon after his resignation, Minister of Roads and Urban Development Abbas Akhoundi assigned Mohammad Khodakarami as the caretaker director of ICO. In addition to his career in Iran Aseman Airlines for 26 years, Abedzadeh has also been a board member at Meraj Airlines and Iranian Airports Holding Company, Mehr News Agency reported.
