The Third International Specialized Exhibition for Clothing and Footwear will be held at Tehran International Permanent Fairground from September 4 to 7. The exhibition will be held in a 10,000-square-meter area, 70% of which is allocated to domestic producers and 30% to foreign companies, IRNA reported. According to the report, the event is aimed at encouraging competition, sharing expertise and experience between domestic manufacturers and their foreign counterparts as well as promoting production, marketing and exports. Domestic producers have only a 30% share in Iran’s clothing market with the rest going to imports that are often dominated by smuggling.
