Fruit prices have dropped 20% on average this Iranian month compared to last month (June 22-July 22) amid reduced demand and excessive production, said the head of Fruits and Vegetables Sellers’ Union. “Cherry and sour cherry are exceptions as they were hit by frostbite in the first quarter of the current Iranian year (started March 21), consequently reducing their production output and keeping the prices high,” Mehr News Agency quoted Seyed Hossein Mohajeran as saying.
