The British Embassy and trade office in Iran will soon reopen, which will in turn help bilateral trade by $4 billion to $5 billion, said the head of Iranian joint chamber of commerce. The economic ties between Tehran and London is bound to improve as their political relations get back to normalcy in the wake of the Vienna nuclear agreement between Iran and six world powers, Eghtesad News quoted Alinaqi Khamushi as saying. “The reopening date has yet to be officially announced,” he noted. Last Iranian year (started March 21) saw a $686 million trade between Iran and the UK. Iran imported $614 million and exported $72 million from and to Britain during the period.
