More than 492,000 tons of non-oil goods were exported via Shahid Bahonar Port in the city of Bandar Abbas, Bushehr Province during the first four months of the current Iranian year (started March 21), which indicates a 48% increase compared to the same period of last year, announced the director of Shahid Bahonar Ports and Maritime Affairs Bureau Mohammad Mohseni. According to the official, chemicals, agricultural products, minerals, tar, livestock and building materials were the main exports from the port, IRNA reported. He added that about 30,000 tons of non-oil goods were imported through the port in the same period, mainly comprised of rice, dried fruits, building materials, autos, home appliances and road maintenance machinery. Shahid Bahonar is Iran’s third largest port.
