More than 494,000 tons of goods worth $345 million were exported from Isfahan Province mainly to Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21-July 21), indicating a 12% increase in weight and 3% drop in value, said the Head of Isfahan’s Customs Administration. “Petrochemicals, iron and steel, hand-woven carpets, ceramics, milk and dairy products were the main exports,” IRNA quoted Asadollah Ahmadi Vanhari as saying. “Isfahan’s customs revenue was more than 362 billion rials ($12.2 million) in the four-month period, indicating a 38% increase compared to the same period last year,” the official added.
