More than 27 million tons of cargo (including both oil and non-oil products) were handled in the ports of Hormozgan Province during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21-July 22), announced director general of Ports and Maritime Organization of the province, Ebrahim Idani. According to the official, Imports from Hormozgan ports declined by 10% to 3.59 million tons during the four-month period compared to the similar duration of last year. Ports and Maritime Organization of Hormozgan manages over 72 small and large ports. Shahid Rajaie, Shahid Bahonar and Lengeh are the three major ports in the province.
