According to data released by Iran Customs Administration, about 1.5 million tons of corn for livestock feed, worth $356 million was imported during the first quarter of the current Iranian year (started March 21), showing a 43.9% increase in terms of volume and 3% rise in value compared to the previous year’s corresponding period, Mehr News Agency reported. Data also shows that 235,000 tons of rice valued at $243 million, 738,000 tons of wheat worth $214 million as well as 440,000 tons of soybean worth $209 million were imported during the period.
