In a meeting between Iran’s Ambassador to Kuwait Alireza Enayati and Kuwait’s Head of Ports and Shipping Organization Sheikh Yousef Abdullah al-Sabah, the two sides discussed expanding cooperation in maritime transportation. The envoy stressed the importance of optimizing the two countries’ maritime navigation systems and called for the improvement of facilities in Kuwaiti ports of Shuwaikh, Doha and Shuaiba, IRNA reported. The Kuwaiti official expressed his country’s readiness to help the development of maritime transportation in the Persian Gulf region.
