The implementation of Resistance Economy—a set of guidelines advocated by the Leader of Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei to decrease the country’s reliance on oil exports—will continue even after the lifting of western sanctions, said the minister of economy.
"The lifting of sanctions [imposed against Iran over its nuclear energy program] will enable us to enact the required economic reforms more efficiently and improve our economic condition," Ali Tayyebnia was quoted by IRNA as saying during a speech at International Quds Day rally on Friday.
Delivering a speech at Friday prayers, head of Management and Planning Organization, Mohammad-Baqer Nobakht, also noted that the policies of Resistance Economy will continue to be used as a "basis for action in the post-sanctions era."
Resistance Economy is a concept declared originally by the Leader in his August 2012 speech to promote economic self-reliance. In February 2014, the Leader declared the general policies of the Resistance Economy in 24 clauses to the heads of three governmental branches.
