About 286,000 tons of goods worth $280 million were exported in the first quarter of the current Iranian year (started March 21) via East Azarbaijan Province, indicating a 4% increase in weight and a 7% growth in value compared to the same period last year, said the head of Industries, Mining and Trade Organization of the province. “The increase in export value means the province is en route to economic prosperity,” Hossein Nejati was quoted by Mehr News Agency as saying.
