About 170,000 tons of goods worth $40 million were exported through North Khorasan Province in the first quarter of the current Iranian year (started March 21), which indicates a 18.2% decrease in volume and 14.9%fall in value compared to last year’s corresponding period, said head of the province’s Industries, Mining and Trade Organization, Yahya Nikdel, as reported by Mehr News Agency. According to the official, exports mostly included petrochemicals, agricultural products and foodstuff, destined for 20 countries. The organization has set a goal of $170 million for exports in the current Iranian year. Q1 exports accounted for 23.5% of the annual target.
