Iran, Germany to Cooperate in Urban Development

Iran and Germany have signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of urban development with focus on energy saving. With the completion of Iran-Germany joint research project, preliminary measures have been taken for cooperation of the two countries in urban development projects. The MoU signing happened during the visit of a delegation from the urban development ministry to Berlin and their meeting with German academic and executive managers in the housing sector. Mohammad Shekarchizadeh, deputy minister and head of the Roads, Housing and Urban Development Research Center, told IRNA that Iran and Germany enjoy longstanding cooperation in technical fields and German engineers have had active participation in construction of infrastructures in Iran.
