Agricultural Coop. With Netherlands

In a meeting between Minister of Agriculture Mahmoud Hojati and Ambassador of the Netherlands to Iran Jos Douma, the two sides discussed cooperation in the agricultural sector. “The Netherlands is highly experienced in the agriculture sector. We can use the Dutch expertise, especially considering that we have limited water resources,” the minister was quoted by Mehr News Agency as saying. He expressed Iran’s readiness for initiating cooperation at scientific and educational levels and said Tehran is also ready to support joint investments by Iranian and Dutch traders. The Dutch envoy, for his part, welcomed the prospect of closer ties with Iran and said a group of Dutch farmers and traders are willing to sell and produce agricultural products in Iran.
