New flights will be launched between the Iraqi Kurdistan cities of Erbil and Sulaymaniyah and Iran’s Kish Island as of mid July, head of tourism affairs at Kish Free Zone Organization, Mohammad-Moheb Khodaei announced. “The move is part of the organization’s plan to promote Halal and medical tourism,” he noted. According to Khodaei, the organization’s broader project is to establish new direct flights from Kish to countries all over Asia, Middle East and Europe in collaboration with the private sector including tour and travel agencies, hotel owners and traders on Kish Island, Mehr News Agency reported.
