About 51,000 tons of goods worth $191.6 million were exported via the northeastern North Khorasan Province during the first quarter of the current Iranian year (started March 21), showing a 42-percent increase in volume and a 43-percent rise in value compared to the similar period last year, Mehr News Agency quoted director general of the province’s customs office, Javad Jafari, as saying. According to the official, urea, steel rods, waterproof roof coatings, melamine crystal powder and pasta constitute the main exports through North Khorasan. He added that more than 4,700 tons of commodities worth 3.8 million were imported via the province’s customs office during the period.
