The agriculture sector will gain 30,000 billion rials ($1.02 billion at official exchange rate) on the back of implementing Subsidys Reform Plan this year (started March 21, 2015), according to the general manager of Agriculture Ministry’s Budget Department. “The government has ratified the allocation of this unprecedented fund, but the money has yet to find its way into the ministry’s coffers,” ISNA quoted Hassan Qasemi as saying. A substantial share of this resource will be spent on infrastructure improvement, particularly those of water and soil, he added.
