Iran Expo in Nigeria Held With Delay

The first specialized exhibition of Iran in Nigeria was held with delay, as Nigeria failed to keep up with its promises of discharging the commodities shipped from Iran to the African country, manager of the exhibition’s organizing company, Mehdi Saeed al-Zakerin said on Tuesday. “Despite the delay, the event was welcomed by the country’s traders, businesspeople and visitors,” Mehr News Agency quoted the official as saying. The event was aimed at boosting trade relations with Nigeria in areas of infrastructure development, energy and export of engineering services and construction material.  The exhibition was initially scheduled to be held on June 9-11 in the city of Lagos in Nigeria. It came after Minister of Industries, Mining and Trade Mohammad Reza Nematzadeh visited Nigeria last year to sign a memorandum of understanding for expansion of bilateral trade relations.
