Turkmenistan to Host 2nd Iran Project Expo

The second “Iran Project Exhibition” will be held in the city of Ashgabat in Turkmenistan, 19-21 August, announced executive manager of the exhibition, Abdolhamid Asadian, Mehr News Agency reported on Saturday. The event revolves around the fields of oil, gas and petrochemicals, water and electricity, construction, engineering and technical services, with the aim of preparing the ground for “the barter trade of Turkmen gas for Iranian commodities and services,” said the official. Based on 17 memorandums of understanding signed between Tehran and Ashgabat in March, both sides are to increase bilateral trade to $60 million within the next 10 years. The first Iran Project Exhibition was held in Tehran June 8-11. More than 15 companies from Germany, Italy, France, Romania, Spain, Australia, Belgium, China, South Korea, Turkey, Austria, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic and the UAE took part in the event.
