Bulgarian Schengen Visa for Iranian Traders

Bulgaria’s ambassador to Iran, Christo Polendakov, called for expansion of bilateral ties in a meeting with Iran’s deputy minister of industries, mines and trade, Hossein Esfahbodi. “My country can act as a gateway to Schengen Area. We are seeking to issue its visa for the Iranian traders,” said the ambassador. “Hosting international exhibitions in Iran and Bulgaria will help boost relations between the two countries,” Mehr News Agency reported.  The deputy minister noted that Tehran is keen to enhance relations with Sofia. “Bulgarian investment in the Iranian market would help Bulgaria play an active role in countries like Iraq and Afghanistan as well,” he added.
