Agricultural Cooperation With Hungary

Iran and Hungary called for closer cooperation in the areas of agricultural research, trade, fisheries, livestock and poultry in a meeting held between Iran’s Ambassador in Budapest Mohammad Reza Morshedzadeh and Hungary’s Minister of Agriculture Sandor Fazekas on Friday. The Iranian envoy suggested participation of the two countries in agricultural exhibitions and organizing meetings between agricultural experts from scientific and research institutes as an effective way to boost cooperation, IRNA reported. The Hungarian minister expressed interest in the two countries exchanging experience on topics, including management of water resources, protection of environment, modified seeds and pest control. Fazekas also welcomed cooperation between the agricultural ministries of both countries for the exchange of experts at various levels.
