The Business Training Center is to hold a conference on “Effective Trade with Iraq, Azerbaijan, and Turkmenistan” on June 14 and 15 at the IRIB International Conference Center in Tehran, according to Trade Promotion Organization of Iran.
Iranian ambassadors in the three countries and their counterparts, Foreign Ministry’s director general for Department of Commonwealth of Independent States and the Caucasus Morteza Moradian, heads of Iran-Iraq Chamber of Commerce and Iran-Iraq Economic Development Affairs as well as trade negotiators, businessmen and directors of chambers of commerce from the target countries will be attending the conference, IRNA reported.
“The Ministry of Industries, Mines and Trade is steadily seeking to raise awareness about distinctive characteristics of the target nations as well as how to increase non-oil exports to those countries,” said Abbas Khaleghi-Tabar, the head of BTC.
Introducing Iran’s export potential as well as commodity needs of target countries, exchange of technical knowhow, presenting solutions for problems concerning transportation, banking affairs, customs and company registration and studying international trade prospects in the post-sanctions era are among the main areas to be discussed during the two-day event.
Khaleghi-Tabar believes that holding effective trade seminars can help smaller countries to boost their economic efficiency by providing a chance to confer and outline bilateral agreements.
