About 6,000 tons of unshelled pistachios worth $48 million were exported during the second Iranian month of Ordibehesht (ended May 21), which indicates a 19-fold increase in terms of volume and 18-fold rise in terms of value compared to the similar period of last year, ISNA reported. China, Hong Kong, the European Union and Iraq are major importers of Iran’s pistachio.
