More than 227,000 tons of commodities valued at $82 million were exported through the southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan Province’s customs offices during the first two months of the current Iranian year (started March 21), showing a 76-percent increase in volume and a 36-percent rise in value compared to last year’s similar period, Mehr News Agency reported. The exported commodities included construction materials, agricultural products and chemicals. The main export destinations were Pakistan, Afghanistan, Turkey, Kuwait and the UAE. Some 54,000 tons of commodities worth $100 million were also imported by the province during the same period.
