Sturgeon Fishing Ban Extended

During the meeting of the commission on aquatic bio-resources of the Caspian Sea held in the Russian city of Saint Petersburg last week, Caspian littoral states decided to extend the ban on fishing of sturgeons for commercial purposes until 2017,  Mehr News Agency quoted deputy agriculture minister, Hassan Salehi, as saying on Sunday. The ban has been in place since 2011.
