Head of Iran-Ukraine Commercial Council Sadina Abaie has called for the promotion of bilateral ties, describing transportation costs and banking problems as major stumbling blocks to trade between the two countries. The Iranian official made the remarks in a meeting with a business delegation from the Ukrainian city of Kherson, led by head of Kherson chamber of commerce and industry, Victoria Ostroumova. Ostroumova said Ukraine’s priority in doing trade with Iran is to secure its petrochemical needs. She also offered to export wheat to Iran considering Kherson’s 2 million tons of annual production of the crop.
