An estimated 3,700 inactive manufacturing units will be revived by the end of the current Iranian year (started March 21), deputy minister of mine, industry and trade, Mojtaba Khosrwotaj, said on Thursday. “The revival of these units requires 230 trillion rials ($7.9 billion based on the official exchange rate) in budget, which is to be allocated in the form of loans,” he was quoted by IRNA as saying. “Once revived, they can create more than 130,000 jobs,” he added.
