One-fifth of Iran’s small-sized enterprises is working at less than 50% capacity, director of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization, Mehr News Agency quoted Mohammad Ali Abrishami as saying on Wednesday. He called on the government to allocate 20 trillion rials ($694 million based on official exchange rate) in the form of loans to small-sized enterprises in the current Iranian year (started March 21). Abrishami noted that 34,500 out of the country’s total 87,000 industrial units are based in industrial towns.
