Based on the World Economic Forum’s 2015 report, out of 124 countries across the world, Iran ranks 80 in human capital endowment -- the skills and capacities that reside in people and that are put to productive use. The Human Capital Index, which stood at an overall rate of 63.20 in case of Iran, provides country rankings that allow for comparisons across regions and income groups. The methodology behind the rankings is intended to serve as a basis for time-series analysis that allows countries to track progress, relative to their own performance as well as that of others. The report also shows that Finland, having scored 85.78, was the world’s number one country in human capital, while Yemen with 40.72 came last.
