The first direct flight between Isfahan and Sharjah was launched on Friday. The Al Arabiya Airline conducted the route’s first flight, according to managing director of Isfahan’s Shahid Beheshti Airport, Hossein Qal’ehgar. “Al Arabiya is expected to conduct three direct flights between the two cities every Sunday, Wednesday and Friday” he was quoted by IRNA as saying. Direct flights have already been established from Isfahan to Istanbul, Najaf, Kuwait City, Dubai, and Jeddah. Isfahan, located about 340 kilometers south of Tehran, is one of the country’s major tourist attractions.
