Rural inflation rate stood at 13.4 percent in the first month of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21), showing a 3 percent decrease compared to a month before, according to the latest report released by Statistical Center of Iran (SCI), ISNA reported. Earlier the SCI reported that the goods and services consumer price index for urban areas (CPI-U) increased 14.5 percent in the twelve-month period ending on April 20, which marks the end of the first month of the new Iranian calendar year, compared to the same period in the previous year. The figure indicates a 0.3 percent decline compared to a month earlier.
