Although domestic manufacturers produce quality leather, fake products made of artificial leather are distributed in the markets under the names of prominent international brands, member of Iranian leather industries association, Mahdi Yousofi, told ISNA, warning about huge losses facing domestic manufacturers. The official noted that Iran accounts for 12 percent of the world’s livestock leather production.
