Deputy director of economic affairs in the ministry of cooperatives, labor and social affairs, Seyed Abbas Hosseini says the government, with parliament’s backing, has allocated 40 trillion rials ($1.4 billion at official exchange rate) for improving the job market and rectifying the sector’s problems during the current Iranian year, which started on March 21. Noting that the amount allocated for this purpose is “unprecedented,” he said the funds will soon be injected to various sectors by the treasury, IRNA reported. Moreover, a sum of 1 trillion rials ($35.7 million) has been designated for promotion of rural employment, nomads and manual labor. The official mentioned “unveiling a new social housing scheme, launching a job management system and implementation of a comprehensive social insurance” as the ministry’s other programs for the current year.
