Railroad officials from Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) member states are scheduled to take part in the 12th Meeting of Heads of ECO Railroad Authorities due to be held in Tehran on May 17- 18, the Islamic Republic of Iran Railways (IRIR)’s director general for international affairs Abbas Nazari announced. “An exclusive exhibition, which is expected to be held on the sidelines of the meeting, will introduce Iran’s railroad capacities to the participants and will help Iran to secure new contracts,” he was quoted by Tasnim news agency as saying, noting that such activities have enabled the IRIR to substantially increase cooperation with neighboring countries as many of them are now seeking to import technical and engineering services from the company.
