Passenger air transport grew by 11 percent in the past Iranian calendar year (ended March 20) compared to a year before, head of Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) announced on Tuesday, as reported by IRNA. Alireza Jahangirian noted that for the past 10 years passenger air transport experienced annual growth of about 8 percent, however last year the rate reached 11 percent, which is a record high.
