Increasing non-oil exports is among the government’s top priorities during the current Iranian year (started March 21), First Vice-President Es’haq Jahangiri said on Monday, calling on all government organs to make every effort to achieve this goal. The Iranian government has projected to increase revenues from non-oil exports, including the export of services, to $77 billion by the year’s end. In another relevant remark, deputy minister of industry, mine and trade Mojtaba Khosrowtaj said on Monday that Iran can easily increase the volume of its non-oil exports by 20% during the current year, considering the huge untapped potential in the country’s industrial and manufacturing sectors.
