A trade delegation from Switzerland, headed by former Swiss ambassador to Tehran Livia Leu, is scheduled to visit Tehran in the coming days to scope out business opportunities in Iran, IRNA reported on Monday, citing Berne-based Swissinfo.“We would like to find out how the Iranian government wants to proceed until negotiations are concluded, and once the sanctions are lifted,” Leu was quoted as saying. “Apart from members of SECO and the Swiss Business Federation, representatives from different business sectors will also travel to Iran,” she noted, adding that the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) is also keen to expand relations with Iran. Iran and the so-called P5+1 group are working to reach a final agreement over Tehran’s nuclear energy program by the self-imposed June 30 deadline. It is expected that the embargo on Iran’s economy will be removed once the final deal is crafted.
