More than 25,800 metric tons of commodities, valued at $19.6 billion were exported through Bushehr over the past Iranian calendar year (ended March 20), which makes the southern province the country’s top export hub, director general of Bushehr’s customs office Ahmad Pourheydar announced on Friday, as reported by IRNA. The figures show a 30 percent increase in terms of volume and a 23 percent increase in value compared to a year before. Petrochemicals and shrimp were the main exported commodities and the majority of the exports went to Persian Gulf countries, India, Vietnam and Turkey.
