The Producer Price Index (PPI) increased by 14.8 percent by the end of Esfand (12th month in the Persian calendar ending on March 20) compared to the same month last year, according to the latest report released by the Central Bank of Iran (CBI). The report shows that over the same period the PPI stood at 208.5 which is 0.4 percent more compared to a month earlier. The PPI, which is in fact a family of indexes, measures the average change in selling prices received by domestic producers of goods and services over time. It measures price change from the perspective of the seller.
