Wheat Tops Imports

Around $2.28 billion worth of wheat was imported during the past Iranian calendar year (ended March 20), ISNA reported, accounting for the largest share of Iran’s non-oil imports (excluding gas condensates) over the period. Other major imports included vehicles with 1500-2500 cc engine capacity, valued at $2 billion; corn, at $1.7 billion; rice at $1.4 billion and soybean at $1.2 billion. With $12.5 billion worth of exports, China was the main exporter to Iran followed by the UAE with $12.1, South Korea $4.3 billion and Turkey $3.8 billion.
