Iran’s chicken exports to countries in the region will increase to 100,000 tons in the current Iranian calendar year (started march 21); however, the volume that was registered a year before stood at 70,000 tons, deputy of livestock affairs of the ministry of agricultural Jihad announced Sunday, as reported by IRNA. Hassan Rokni noted that in coordination with the slaughterhouses, the government has come up with a new form of packaging for frozen chicken to increase the quality of product and ease customer access. The official also announced that 23 million fertile eggs and 33 million day-old chickens were exported in the past Iranian year (ended march 20).
