The number of foreign companies taking part in the Iranian fairs has increased by 110% compared with two years ago, Mir Aboutaleb Badri, a senior official at Iran’s Trade Promotion Organization (TPO) said on Saturday. “The number of domestic companies participating in the fairs has also gone up by 20%, which indicates that Iranian fairs are becoming more and more inclusive,” he was quoted by IRNA as saying. He added that 12,555 domestic companies as well as 3,098 foreign companies took part in 76 fairs in Tehran International Fair Ground (TIFG) over the past year (ended March 20), noting that the number does not include the fairs that were held outside TIFG.
