Excessive imports have hurt the domestic agriculture sector, forcing many farmers to stop production, head of Iran’s Agriculture Trade Union, Mousa Rahnamayee told Mehr news agency on Wednesday. He suggested that the Ministry of Agricultural Jihad be put in charge of regulating the import and export of agricultural products, particularly criticizing the excessive import of powdered milk, eggs, chicken and fruit.
