The head of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) says foreign fruits in the market have not been legally imported; the daily Ta’adol reported on Saturday. Masoud Karbasian emphasized that in the current Iranian year (to end March 20), no apples, oranges and mandarins have been imported, adding that all such fruits in the market have been smuggled into the country. He said no import registration orders have been issued so far this year by the ministry of industry or agriculture. Karbasian urged the anti-smuggling organizations to conduct investigations into the issue.
