Iran’s export of aquatic products is expected to reach $310 million before the end of the Iranian year (ends March 20), according to an official in Iran Fisheries Organization, Isa Golshahi, who added that shrimp exports are expected to reach 12,500 tons. Iran exported 46,307 tons of aquatic products worth $155 million in a 10-month period ending January 20, including 34,300 tons of different types of fish worth $108 million, 7,400 tons of shrimps valued at $23 million, 1,913 tons of canned fishes worth $310,000 and 412 tons of tuna fish valued at $1.05 million, Mehr news agency quoted the official as saying.
