Iran is the world’s largest producer and exporter of saffron, accounting for approximately 90% of the world production, IRNA quoted head of Khorasan Razavi Province bureau of Joint Iran-Afghanistan chamber of commerce, Mahmoud Siadat, as saying on Saturday. The official also called for the removal of customs-related barriers on the way of bilateral trade with the neighboring country.
