Transactions in the housing sector are expected to rise in the upcoming year (starting March 21), head of the real estate union, Hesam Oghabie told IRNA on Saturday. The incremental upward trend in housing transactions in the second half of the current year (September 23- March 20), is expected to accelerate next year, he said. He also predicted that the issuance of construction permits will be on the rise in the upcoming year. The official gave assurance that there will be no drastic price jump in the early months of the new year and expressed hope that the administration’s protective policies, increased banking facilities, construction of “social housing scheme”, and renovation of dilapidated structures will help the market step out of stagnation. Transactions in the housing market in the first nine months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 21-December21) registered a 60 percent growth compared to the same period last year while the market experienced no price fluctuations.
